The picture is 1963. That isn't Howie Wiedre next to me because he didn't come to Betar until MUCH later.(We started college together in 1966, and I shleped him up there a couple of years later) Next to Uriel is Steve Shuftman who, along with Joey Grunberg, was the 1st of the Washington Heights buys to go to Camp. ----------------------

definitely not 61 or 62 because I was at the camp those years, was secretary to the camp at 72nd St and to the camp office. The summer of 63' I relocated to Washington D.C. Pam, the cousin of Mrs. Dolinsky,e.h. and the now the wife of Mordechai Vachman - Eran, was at camp in 62 and was married in June of 63 and went up to camp to work (as a newly wed). Dov Troy was the head counselor and Yonah Furman was my direct supervisor, Michele Asher
Picture was definitely NOT 1961 nor 1962. I was there that summer (if you look at other photos from that camp) and I didn't meet Benny (or know of Betar) until November, 1962. That was the summer of 1963. I believe that was the first summer that Shlomo Ariav and his family were there too. Boy, where did the years go? But then again, what adventures we all had together and are still friends -- that's the best part!

Marcie is probably right when she says '63. That would make us all about 14-15. But if its not Howie Wiedra who is that between the Wally & Uriel? BTW - Uriel is a well known photographer in Israel. I have one of his books - Batim B'Yerushalayim - BEAUTIFUL!!!

I think this photo was taken in 1963 or 1964.

It would be nice to have a "key" informing us what everyone's doing today, where they are etc. Just a line.
